Round Cape Leeuwin

Thursday February 4 2010

Alessando headed North to escape a big depression, then he headed East again, parallel to the Australian coasts. He sailed past Leeuwin Cape on rhe night of February 2nd . That makes two, there is just one left...the Horn ! But it is still a long way. Alessandro wrote: "everything is all right on board. Leeuwin OK. Changing winds with a lot of heavy showers. Winds from 4 to 27 knots"
When winds are changing , the speed is changing as a conclusion there are a lot operations on the deck.
Yesterday he went up the mast to repair the  weather vane that had broken when the boat was swept by a breaker wave a few days ago.
